Every February, in cooperation with the Institute of Confucius, our kids participate in the celebration of Chinese New Year, the most important traditional Chinese holiday, which is celebrated throughout China and around the world.

During this event kids from kindergarten Sadko sing, dance and recite in Chinese and Russian. Confucius Institute in February organizes a series of celebrations to mark the beginning of the Spring Festival, ie. Chinese New Year. New Year traditions are many and the presence of red color is infallible symbolizing happiness, they decorate rooms with New Year verses, Chinese characters 'spring' and 'happiness' and lanterns. The first day of the Spring Festival is the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar and holiday lasts until the 15th day of the first month, when they celebrate the festival of lanterns. According to the Chinese horoscope, 2019 is the Year of the Pig, begins on February 5 and will last until 24 January 2020.
